- 6/27/10 – So I have one of my three required 8% qualifiers under my belt for my elite card. Unfortunately yesterday I just missed my second, so it looks like I’ll be using my backup race and heading out to IL in mid-July for the Evergreen Lakes Triathlon. Not excited about spending the cash, but happy to be racing again at a Tri-Shark event. These guys know how to put on a race!
- 6/27/10 – Raced at the Loveland Lake 2 Lake Triathlon yesterday morning. Did not have a great race as my legs were super tight and just felt zapped from the very first pedal stroke on the bike! Gave up about 5 minutes on the hilly 30-mile ride to most of my competitors and limped home to a 9th place overall finish. I do have to give a shout out to the race management team of the event though. It was an excellently organzed and managed event. If you ever want to do a well-run Colorado event, I would reccomend this one… just be ready for all of the hills on the bike!
